The instructor returned the drama drafts and asked students to underline their terms. Later in the class, the papers were returned with corrections and input.
Next she talked about the upcoming drama quiz and told students what types of items might be on the quiz. The quiz will probably be given in the next two weeks.
She then discussed the Greek theater, for which there was an accompanying PowerPoint presentation.
The poetry assignment was introduced and students to read the first half of the poetry handout, which is posted at the links at left.
The instructor will deliver a sample presentation next week.
We read a research paper example and the instructor asked the students to look for certain items in the paper, such as how points were developed.
The last item we worked on was colons. The instructor showed a PowerPoint and the students wrote sample sentences. We will continue this activity next week.

Commit to poetry genre and put the notice up on the document. Read the poetry handout (link at left). Begin research on the genre by using the LION database from the library. At least one article should be brought to class next week.
