The instructor talked about plagiarism. A PowerPoint accompanied the discussion. After the presentation, there was a worksheet where we did indirect and direct quotes. We also did three types of internal text citations.
Next the instructor went over the poetry assignment. She showed sources for some of the multimedia aspects of the assignment, such as Yahoo's mp3 search and poetry reading mp3s at LION.
We put student genre selections on an open document. This part of the class was administered by the students.
The instructor filled in students on what to study for the drama quiz next week.
We watched a video on the funnel opening and the instructor will send students the worksheet that accompanies it. She will also include the link to the poetry genre choices.
She showed students the research paper scoring sheet. This sheet will be given to students hard copy next week. It will also be sent as an attachment. Students will need three copies of the sheet.
Drama papers were returned. The final version is due next week.
