The instructor discussed Greek theater. She also talked about what was going to be on the quiz in two weeks (Oct. 30).
Next she discussed the creativity component of research paper. Some ways to achieve this component were outlined:
-surveys
-ethnographic research (dancer example)
Creative point of view (Freakonomics example)
The instructor returned drama papers and picked up Pt 3, which will be returned at the next class
We read an example of an "A" paper. Afterward, students made observations about the paper.
The instructor discussed person consistency and gave students strategies to eliminate the second person from their papers.
We started work on the use of the colon. We were able to do one exercise and will finish the worksheet and Powerpoint next week.
