Writing 102 Saturday What Happened in Class

We are meeting at Cranford to attend the play for the next class. Show up by 7:30 p.m. and go to Rm. N24. There will be no Saturday morning class. Note: this was changed in class to students should all meet at the atrium at 7:45.

Read the drama handout before coming to class. Also read all the drama terms at the drama glossary. Also, read the paper emailed to you (paper by Camilla).

Rough draft of the drama paper is to be completed by the following Saturday, October 17. Peer reading on the 17th, make corrections and return on the 24th.

Tip. While watching the play, record the chronology:

Example: Rubie needs a place to live.
She is able to live with her aunt for two weeks.

-----
Instructor went over the process for peer reading. Next week we will do a peer reading of four pages of the research paper.

------------
Students presented their working thesis statement, which the instructor recorded. She will set up a table where students will enter their email so research material can be sent to them.
-----------

We answered a quiz on the DVD we watched about propaganda in the news and in particular, on Fox News. Each quiz was scored and students were asked to keep the quiz in their notebook/folder.

---------------

We corrected the Annotated Works Cited. First the instructor went over items like margins, formatting, etc. Then the students looked up each citation and corrected it for their colleague.

Next week:

Lester Ch 4
Langan Ch 7
Write RD of drama paper
Write two pages of Pt 2
