ENG 102 1:25 & 2 p.m. MWF

Fri., Sept. 13

We went to the library lab 112 and the instructor first showed students the literary databases.

Then we went to writershelp and she showed students how to get to the exercises. She assigned the thesis statement (2) exercises to be done for Monday.

We put student's poetry genre choices on the table (link below).

To do for next week:

Read Lester per reading schedule.
Look for research on your poetry genre
Do two exercises at writershelp.com (thesis statements).

Wed., Sept. 11

The instructor gave students the assignment of going to poets.org to choose a genre to work with for the first half of the semester. Students should come to class with three choices. The first choice should have a one-paragraph rationale for why the student wants to work with that poetic form, technique, or genre.

2:00 p.m. class:  students did paired interviews and should type up their outline and bring it to the Wednesday, Sept. 18 class. Each class member will introduce their partner

We will be choosing poetry genres.
