The instructor explained how we lock information into our minds and the role this plays in remembering a person's name. She explained why it is important to remember another's name.
We then went into pairs (dyads) and interviewed each other using questions that the class came up with. Each interview lasted four minutes. We then worked on our outlines.
Students submitted their receipts for 50 class participation points.
The instructor went over a few points from the syllabus.
Assignment:
Type out the outline you arrived at in class. Revise if necessary. Make sure you have a "hook" to interest the audience in the beginnning. Organize your information. Double-space, two copies. One will be used for instructor feedback.
Come prepared to introduce your partner at our next class. Each person will have 3".
