We read the syllabus and the instructor provided hard copies of it and the activities sheet.
We formed pairs for interviews and each student introduced another person in the class. We learned what students hoped to learn from the class to purpose their various objectives and interests.
The instructor showed students the link for the book and told them about the book and why she chose it for the class. She also talked about the O'Reilly book, which she recommended students order after they have experience with the basics of HTML/XHTML.
The links assignment was handed out (hard copy).
To Do for Next Class:
--find the webspace allocated to you by your ISP. Get your user name and password. Sign on and explore the structure.
--make up a list of your favorite web sites and categorize your links in a Word document
--order the book
