Link for transitional phrases.
The midterm exams were corrected in class ans returned to the instructor to record the grade.
The instructor returned Pt. 3 and asked students to knit the three points together using transitional phrases. She explained the different types of phrases and showed how they improve the reading experience by cuing the thought process of the writer. She put a list of phrases on the overhead projector and asked students to add a total of 10 to their three points.
Next class:
Students should go through Lester's Ch. 10 to see if there are additional ways to blend in reference material that they have not yet used.
At our next class, we will write our subhead and conclusion. We will also discuss poetry. The instructor will provide a hard copy of our final assignment, which has to do with drama.
