ENG102, Wed., 2:30-5:30

Important:  No class next week. Spring Break.

We checked in the Annotated Works Cited for poetry. Each student corrected another's paper. The instructor put an example of a correct WC on the overhead projector. Students received their WC back and are to make corrections and add two more sources for the next class on the 21st.

Next we read Point 2 of the research paper. Each student read at least one other student's paper and commented on it via an comment sheet provided by the instructor. At the conclusion of the readings, the instructor took one copy of Pt. 2 and returned the other comment pages to students. Point 2 will be returned at the next class.

We discussed poetry and the play. We will attend the March 17, 3 p.m. performance of Macbeth in Jersey City. The instructor will send an email shortly before the play date. Seven students are attending on this date and other students are going on the 24th.

The instructor showed the class the literary databases where students will be able to find more sources for their poetry paper. As noted above, two more sources should be added to the Annotated Works Cited for poetry.

The poetry explications were picked up and will be read by the instructor and returned at the class on the 21st.
